Coronavirus Pandemic

PRAYER OF THE DAY
O God, You desire not the death of sinners, but rather that we turn from our wickedness and live. Graciously behold Your people who plead to You and spare us. Withdraw the scourge of Your wrath and be moved in mercy to turn away this pestilence from us; for the sake of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Main Street Living is a Lutheran Television program that is endorsed by the Minnesota North District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The program receives no funding from the District, but is totally funded by viewers and congregations of the KBJR-Channel 6 Viewing area. The program is broadcast on KBJR-Channel 6, the CBS network affiliate in Duluth on Sunday morning, starting at 9:30 AM. The first 30 minutes are remastered episodes of the popular "This is the Life" series that was very popular in the 70's and 80's. The second half of the program is a modified Lutheran worship service that features a different Pastor each week, from the station's broadcast area. Pastor vonSteggern from St. Paul's, Marengo was on March 15th.

Please connect with people who you know don't have email, so they may keep informed on the happenings of Zion.

Last, to put it simple and short, offering envelopes can be dropped in the mailbox at church or mailed directly — Zion Lutheran Church 1111 11th Ave West, Ashland, WI 54806

Suggestions — we could mail this out to those we list as no email, and stating that no further letters so be sure to keep in touch with tv, radio, and other church members or calling. Or we could make a calling tree. Can you put the message that the church is closed on the phone message?
